DEUX VIES
John De Puy & Isabel Ferreira-De Puy
Opening Reception: June 12th, 3 - 5 pm
Exhibition Dates: June 12 - August 30, 2022
For 25 years, the two lives of John De Puy and Isabel Ferreira-De Puy have been intertwined in a creative, romantic relationship portrayed throughout this collection. While they share the desert Southwest as the inspiration behind their vivid colors and form, they continue to express their individual spirits, from mythical to mystical.
Despite the generational difference separating these two artists, the individual stories shared in their respective works create a larger conversation when paired together, as these oil works on canvas and paper depict juxtaposed views of a shared subject. With some rare, never-exhibited pieces by John and newer creations by Isabel, this collection reveals what it means to be a part of the desert.
Taos Art Association
Exhibition Dates: TBA 2022
Opening Reception: September 17, TBA
In the 1950s a group of Taos artists decided to form the Taos Art Association (TAA). They purchase the Manby estate and turned the mansion into art galleries and in the gardens an outdoor community theater. In 2000 Taos Art Association (TAA) became the Taos Center for the Arts (TCA). It is the oldest non-profit arts organization in the state of New Mexico.
