Louise Ganthiers
Biography
Born in New York City, Louise Ganthiers studied at the Art Students League and the Brooklyn Museum. She gave up a successful career in textiles in 1948 to paint full time. After painting in Mexico, she moved to Taos, New Mexico in 1949. She became a founding member of the Taos Art Association in 1952 and is now known as one of the Taos Moderns.
